• It's kind of funny that people seem to forget where dogs came from. Their ancestors were wolves, even the littlest chihuahua has a bit of wolf in it.
  I own a APBT, and I have 2 children, 3years and 5 months. Both of my dogs parents and grandparents were therapy dogs in nursing homes. Many people question my love for my kids because of the fact that I own an APBT.
  I did a little research of my own. I would take my dog (and my kids) to parks, pet stores, and other places where dogs could go. People would stop and stare or give me a dirty look, and some even asked questions while my oldest daughter played on some swings. One lady asked me how I could keep a dog like that around my kids? Just out of curiosity I told her that he was an AmStaff. She actually leaned down and rubbed his head. It has happened more than a few times, where I say that he's an AmStaff just to see different reactions.
  Now, is it the dog that people are afraid of... or just the name? I think that people should ban the term "pit bull" because of how many dogs can be labeled pit bulls. In a book that I own it says that "No self-respecting APBT owner would ever call his/her dog a "pit" anything. "Pits" can be anything from an APBT to a terrier crossed with an APBT." I completely agree.
  Why are people so stupid? I think that any breed of dog that shows human aggression should be put down, right then and there. But, I also believe that not all breeds are bad. Banning a breed of dog is racism, is it not? If we banned every human race that have committed murders, what would be left? There are good and bad in all races, same with dogs.
