Diamonds Made From Dog Hair

Wednesday, March 29, 2006

Diamonds Made From Dog HairA company in Russia called New Age Diamonds is offering to make a cultured diamond using hair from your dog.

With a handful of Missy's hair (approx 1 gram's worth), they combine it with carbon and run it through their HPHT (high pressure, high temperature) machine. The result is a real, actual, diamond, with your dog's DNA inside.

The thing is that they don't offer clear diamonds, only yellow, green, and red ones.

The company also does diamonds made from human hair and cremated ashes too. Expect to shell out a minimum of $2,000.

    The source?

    My GSD/Mutt girl.

She sheds he weight in hair everyday.

  • Abuse? Obviously you don't own a dog. Diamonds are a special stone and to mix that with your number one love, your dog is amazing!! I'm getting one.

  • A great idea, I would love one from each of my three dogs. Do they do cat hair? To always have on a part of my sweeties after they aren't with me is wonderful. Wish I had the money.
