Dogs Wow Dogs

Thursday, March 16, 2006

Dogs Wow Dogs"Dogs Wow Dogs" is the name of a DVD that teaches very young children about family life with a dog.

After reviewing some clips, the content is such that it's probably for kids aged 2 to 5 years, and is packed with enough songs and laughter that it'll keep their attention.

The programming uses a doggie sock puppet named "Stately" who looks and sounds like he could be related to the sock puppet mascot of Pets.com. He has this cat sidekick named Remix, and the two of them dance and sing their way through a variety of canine topics ranging from safety, feeding, grooming, bathing, playing, and a bunch of others.

It's produced by Larry Kay, who apparently has had a long history in children's media, having done extensive work with Disney and The Muppets.

The DVD contains two 30 minute programs.

  • I don't think that kind of entertainment is for me, but I know people who would think this is the cutest thing on the planet.
