Nightclub for Dog Owners

Wednesday, March 08, 2006

SkyBARK Doggie Night ClubThis March 26th, a new nightclub opens in Los Angeles for dog owners, SkyBARK.

It's a nightclub similar to many others where folks can hang out with others, meet new friends, dance to the music, and lounge with a drink. Except, dogs are allowed too.

Dogs can be taken off leash so that they can mingle just like their owners. The place has partnered with PETaPOTTY to provide a special restroom with rows of PETaPOTTYs.

As part of its grand opening, SkyBARK will host a silent auction to benefit New Leash on Life, an animal rescue. All dogs attending the opening night will receive a gift bag with samplings from various manufacturers like PETaPOTTY, Little Lily, Top Dog, Sherpa Pet Products, Doggie Springs, Pet Flys, and Dogswell treats.

  • Basically what we've got going on is going to be the
new underground hot spot to chill have cocktails,
talk with friends, mingle, and truly get the best out
of life with not just your friends, but also
    man's best friends, dogs.

We've created a "Sky-Bar" type atmosphere that focuses
on pets and us. It's a 7500 square foot
Rooftop with sections divided up for small, medium &
large dogs, with an additional 3,000 square foot VIP
deck for people to enjoy the beautiful view of the LA
    sky-line.

Hanger 1018 is one of our producing partners of this night-life, which gives us a grand total of about 20,000 square feet to work with and a professional event planning crew.

Our mission is to have a pet-friendly nightlife
with, sponsors, fashion show, themes, coctail waiters catering to the dogs and us, costume contests, and many other fun events where you can take your dog out of its carrier and let them mingle as we enjoy. We'll have fund raising Auction for Katrina and New Leash on Life, gift bags, Adoptions, door prizes, raffles, all in all putting a Very big smile on the partygoers' faces.
