QuickFinder was probably the most innovative new product on display at the Global Pet Expo last week in San Diego.
Hmmmm. Seen other products pretty similar already. Didn't even elicit a yawn from me, sorry, and I saw every product there. Did you go? We shoulda had a bloggers meet-up! ... Gina

Interesting, where have you seen a product like this? Because I have never seen anything like it, other than the shape of the cutter..
Yawn all you want but he is going to be laughing alllll the way to the bank on this one. I cannot wait for it to come out!
By idjutproof, at 3:19 AM, May 14, 2006
I agree with idjutproof, I also can't wait for this product to come out. I'm tired of using the ones with the lights. They never seem to work and with these built in lights, I won't ever go back to anything else.
When they come out, I'll be the first of many on line to buy them, I'm sure.

The hype says this QuickFinder Claw Cutter will be available Aug 2006. It is now Jan 2007 and the product is not even listed on the company's website. Miraclecorp.com Wonder what happened.
By , at 11:28 AM, January 15, 2007
Been in contact with the manufacturer and they say it will be available at the end of February 07, but only in USA to begin with. Might be worth checking out a few sites then.....

I just followed a link to PetGadgets.com and they don't have it yet. You can sign up to be notified when they do.

By , at 10:13 AM, February 20, 2007

Anonymous, this product works very well & is worth the money. I work for Miracle Corp. and you have no idea what you are talking about.

The Quickfinder is a great product. As soon as it is available to the entire United States it is going to take the pet and grooming industry by storm. The reason there is a delay in releasing the item is because the company is working out some quirks and making sure the product is 100% perfect. As anyone who works with manufacturer's knows, new products take time to develop and then it can take years from that point to have it ready to resell.
The Quickfinder has just now been sent out to sales reps to sale so how can one person already have the item and know that it does not work? They can't! They are wanting to ruin the reputation of the item before it sells. Maybe they are a competitor I don't know but get ready for this great product!!! Its going to be amazing!!
I personally recommend that everyone buys one!

Does anyone know when and WHERE we can purchase the Quickfinder clippers?

Does anyone know when and where we can purchase this product/
By , at 9:06 PM, March 31, 2007
I just got a notification from PetGadgets that they were available. http://www.petgadgets.com/quickfinder/ I checked out eBay, but the prices were not a savings. No surprise - this is the first or second day they have been available! I haven't tried it, but I am definitely getting one. Less trauma for all of us!

I received my Quickfinder yesterday and was very disappointed. My Labrador wasn't impressed either. I followed the instructions and the green light never came on to indicate it was safe to cut. Her nails are very long and needed cutting. I ended up getting out the old clippers to to the job. I wouldn't recommend these expensive clippers.
By , at 12:48 PM, April 01, 2007
It is very important that you have the QuickFinder sensor over the quick before you turn the clipper on (squeeze the handle). The red light should come one. Move the clipper towards the end of the nail. The yellow light should come one, then the green light. Now you can cut. It is also important to keep the cutting blade perpendicular to the nail for best cut.
The instructions that were initially packaged with the QuickFinder are very difficult to read/follow -- print too small. MiracleCorp is providing better instructions that are much easier to read/follow. I would suggest you ask whoever you bought your QuickFinder from to send you the new instructions.
The product works well when operated properly.

MiracleCorp, the maker of the QuickFinder, turned on the new QuickFinder® website today - http://www.quickfinderclipper.com. It's got some pretty good information on the product. However, the instructional video is apparently not working yet. I clicked on the icon and ... nothing. You can download some instructions, too. Might be a good starting point.

I haven't tried this product yet but I plan to. It looks to be superior to some of the other products on the market. www.Cherrybrook.com and the Cherrybrook store in NJ have all sizes of the product in stock if anyone is looking for it.

As posted before, these are for sale on ebay, where I have ordered mine. Good for us Britons (or any non-americans) as PetGadgets do not ship internationally. You can get them via this link. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/ALW-PetStuff look for the buy-it now items. Same price as PetGagets.

I keep trying to get quickfinder to work and I have decided the problem is I need a clipper for a larger dog. Do they make an extra large size?
By , at 6:10 AM, April 07, 2007
The main thing to remember is to stay patient and calm when using the QuickFinder. I was nervous at first when using mine, but after practicing and checking out the instructional video at quickfinderclipper.com it was so easy! i LOVE it and think this is a helpful solution.
also, after reading the website, i realized that you have to keep the dogs nail against the base of the cutting hole, where the sensor is.
i'll probably use this clipper at least twice a month! yes!

I was selling these items and sold most of the order before it arrived. After shipping it out I finally tried mine. It didn't work the way they said it would and frightened my dogs. Customers started contacting me with complaints. I called all of the customers I shipped them to and they all had tried everything to get it to work they thought it was them and were relieved I was also struggling. I am completely refunding money to anyone with complaints and am no longer selling it. I only wish to sell items I have confidence in.

MiracleCorp, the maker, is coming out with a Deluxe model within the next year that is designed for larger dogs. I understand that it will not be a guillotine-style cutter, like the currently available QuickFinders.
By , at 7:13 AM, April 24, 2007
Hi All! What rock did 'petexpectations' crawl out from under? Sell a bunch of brand new products to your customers before you even try it yourself?! AND, you don't have the ability to use it yourself. Obviously, not too bright, ... and bad business. I got one, ... and I like it!

If you are contemplating buying a QuickFinder® you should first visit the QuickFinder® website at www.quickfinderclipper.com. There is a lot of good information on the clipper, and an instructional video on the safe and proper use of the clipper.
The QuickFinder® has been available for about a month. There have been alot of very happy users of this new device. But, as is always the case with something new, there have been some not-so-good experiences.
Some users have complained that the sensor was not working. In some cases it was simply a training issue - a matter of placing the nail properly in the cutter. This is why it is important to visit the QuickFinder® webstie and view the instructional video, review the frequently asked questions (FAQs), and read the instructions carefully.
In a few cases the user received a QuickFinder® with a sensor defect; unacceptable, but not too strange when new technology is first released.
Others have experienced difficulty in cutting large and/or hard nails with the guillotine cutter. The QuickFinder® for Small Size Dogs targets dogs up to 40-45lbs. The QuickFinder® for Medium Size Dogs targets dogs between 40-45lbs and 75lbs. However, the most important aspect of whether or not the QuickFinder® will effectively clip a dog's nails, is the hardness (density) and size of the nail. The current guillotine-style QuickFinder® nail clipper will not effectively cut extremely hard (dense) or very large nails. If your pet has extremely hard or large nails, wait until the deluxe model comes out in early 2008.
I like my QuickFinder®.

MiracleCorp is designing a Deluxe Model that is the non-guillotine style for large breeds and/or dogs with exceptionally large/hard nails. Looks for it in early 2008.

Miracle has a long hsitory of over promise, under deliver. This thing hasn't even been field tested by a serious vet panel. The repeated delays in getting it to market - almost 2 years indicate that it has been problem plagued. And all these glowing posts from "anonymous" folk should be viewed skeptically. I'd bet my last $ they are from the mfr. Any time you see ® in a post, besides this one, assume it came from Miracle. Insist on at least 4 or 5 independent vet references before wasting your hard earned money and/or injuring your dog.

Honestly wish I would have read these posts before wasting my hard earned money....this thing sucks..scared my dog to death and would not cut...sensor stayed red and so I decided to cut anyway but it would not cut at all...sad waste of my $$ and time.

Thankfully it is hard to find 'cuz it's worthless. And can be dangerous. Kinda works on very compliant dogs, but don't try on any animal that resists trimming. I'll stick to something I have 100% control of. - Loraine Olson

i saw this product at petco and thought it sounded like a fantastic idea! my dog's nails had gotten rather pointy lately and needed the tips trimmed, so i picked this up
i used it as directed - made sure to try out the lights a few times so i knew the green light wasn't just going on at random. i finally went ahead and clipped while the green light was on, my puppy yelped and started bleeding!
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND DON'T HURT YOUR DOG WITH THIS PRODUCT!

I am a representative of the company. The product works 100% if used properly. I agree with many of the other people who have used it successfuly! You should read the instructions and get yourself aquanted with how the lights work. Also, read the FAQ on the quickfinder website as well as watch the video. If you have pets with really dense nails or really thick nails...DO NOT CUT A BIG PIECE AT A TIME, but make more frequent smaller cuts. Always make sure you let your pet get used to the clippers by sniffing, and pulling the handles so the pet can hear the "clip sound." Be sure to offer a lot of love and treats for behaving afterwards. I personally have 4 cats and I will do the front claws then let them have a break before I do the rear claws.
By , at 7:22 PM, September 23, 2007
I used these clippers as instructed by the video & the red light still stayed on all the time. When I tried to just cut the tip off the nail, the clippers squeezed & chewed the nail. Waste of money!
By , at 3:48 PM, September 24, 2007
I received an instant refund. That was the only thing that worked painlessly and hassle free. Good idea. Poor execution. Maybe they will get it worked out down the road, but for now... save your money and your pet.
