World's Ugliest Dog - Post Sam Era

The Sonoma-Marin Fair is gearing up for the 18th Annual World's Ugliest Dog Contest, with a $1,000 prize at stake, and hopes for instant worldwide fame.

That fame catapulted the previous three-time champion, Li'l Sam, a 14-year-old Chinese Crested, into the media spotlight with appearances on CNN, Late Show with Carson Daly, Inside Edition, the Insider, CBS Early Show, as well as Japanese, German and Spanish television with mentions on Regis & Kelly and Jay Leno. Sam passed away shortly after the contest.

According to the Fair's press release, contenders from across the country, as far as Florida, and even England, are expected to compete for the title.

The contest takes place at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petaluma on Friday, June 23rd at 6:30 p.m.

This dog is true beauty to me. I was deeply depressed when he died and wanted to kill my self!! He was the dog of my dreams!! He touched my heart intensely!!! He was so beautiful I cried wishing to look like him!! He was my dearly beloved dream dog!! God Bless him on his trip to heaven!!

Ummmmm! WTF! I did see this dog a few years ago on email, and FUGLY is definately an understatement. Have you ever seen the episode of South Park when they were sticking food up there bums and then shitting out there mouths, now that looks like something definately regurgitated, hmmm maybe 4 or 5 times..... and then shat on. All in all it's a bit sad that he's dead but i'm sure that he's in a much better place now in fugly doggy heaven

Well. This is a "Chinese Crested".
They have no hair, so You can see their skin. (search Google pictures)

He is 14yrs old (x7 = 98 human years).

How do You think You look naked when Your 98 years old?
