Puppies Inside Glass Cases

Puppies Inside Glass CasesI was at a pet shop a couple days ago, and took photos of puppies inside the glass cases. I uploaded eleven photos to my Flickr site.

Take a look at the whole set.

My wife and I were actually visiting our niece and nephew at the Red Robin restaurant at the Orange Mall, in Orange, CA. They hadn't arrived yet, so we walked inside the mall. I found the pet shop and went in.

I happened to have my camera with me, because I was going to get pictures of our niece and nephew with their kids. So, I decided to snap photos of the puppies and post them here for your consideration.

  • Yes, this is sad to see puppies behind glass like that. Maybe this sight can encourage people to save the puppies, and have a pet too.

  • Excuse me? "SAVE" the puppies?

Don't buy a pet-store puppy. That's how you "save" them. Every time you buy one of these puppies you perpetuate the puppy-mill system. Buy this puppy, and you've doomed his mother to life in a crap-filled cage.

    C'mon folks. Do some research.

  • It really upsets me to see animals treated in such an in human manner. I have been to a couple places with in my area and seen the conditions and the unkempt cages. It breaks my heart. People shouldn't support such a business.

  • Are you helping by posting these pics???? If so, how, please? Now people will want to go and "save" them, which will be promoting puppymills.

  • At least they're on solid floors... I went to look at a pet store in my area that had the same type of glass cages, but the puppies were also on wire floors :(
Very uncomfortable to be on wire 24 hours a day! It's also unfortunate that they are in glass cases which means they miss out on even the little bit of socialization they might get by being able to interact with customers :(

    Puppymills and puppy stores suck.

  • Terrible! Neither pups nor any other animal should be allowed to be sold at pet stores. This is definitely animal cruelty, and everybody who is buying the pups is adding more and more money to the puppy mills, who will push in more animals.
I like your website, but these pictures are pure plain humiliating.

  • Why take a photo and upload it to the internet? If it had been me I would have took the dogs out and smashed the cases !
