Purina and Yahoo have combined to offer Internet users with a free widget that combines the weather forecast with a photo of your pet.

A widget is a small program that runs on your computer's desktop, performing a small task, like checking e-mail, displaying the forecast, stock tickers, etc.

The new Purina weather widget runs on Windows and Mac operating systems.
