How about giving to the local Humane Society in the name of your pet. That way the money that you spend on one (1) sweater could care for many other dogs/cats/and other animals. I think that my dogs would like it much more than and it is better to give than receive. They will so happy with the chew toy, love and play time then the other items that cost a obscene amount.

My dogs like the idea of donating to the local pet shelter. Since they're both rescued dogs, they feel like it's giving to the cousins. And the granddogs get a bone from grandma every year so they have a present to open.
