  • This sounds like a great book to help people understand what goes on at shelters and that it is very important to adopt rather than buy from breeders.I am a volunteer for a rottweiler rescue and just like the pit bull they are so...misunderstood.
    Thanks.

  • If you took the time to go to a shelter you would would see that it is not all love, but some hatred goes on!

  • If you ever visited a dog shelter you may well have become concerned as to the condition of all the dogs there, especially pit bulls. Helping people understand the plight of these misunderstood dogs is to be applauded.

  • I adopted a pittbull out of a shelter in New York, mistaking him for an offspring of my friend's dog. We learned later that day of his parentage and his birthday. That was my introduction to this loving breed. Unfortunately, he passed away the day before his 9th birthday. I now have 3 poodles and 2 shepherd mixes, all of whom are better watchdogs than my pitt was. His looks alone were enough to discourage anybody with bad intentions.
