Summertime is here, and most pool owners are now open for the season. If you've got a dog that loves to swim, this is the best time of year. However, this can also be the most tragic time also. Even if your dog is an olympic level swimmer, there's still the possibility of drowning. During the night time, the visual cues that your dog has targeted to find his escape route (the steps) will be harder to find. If he jumps in the pool when nobody is around, he could get stuck in the pool until his energy expires and could drown.
