Terriers and Your Family
Learn why Boston Terriers make great family pets, and
how to introduce one into your household.

I think it's hard to find a better pet than a Boston Terrier!
But what does it really mean to you and your family to have
one?
If you don't already have a Boston, are you worried about
whether a Boston Terrier will fit in with the rest of the
household? Well you should remember one thing : there is a
good reason for this breed being known as the American gentleman
of dogs.
Gentle and personable, Bostons are known for their love of
people. They will get along with everyone from the family
toddler to the great-grandmother of the household. Even other
pets should be no problem as long as you let them get used
to one another gradually and this is so that the other animals
dont attack your little Boston as opposed to the other way
around!
Because Boston Terriers are small, you have to make sure
that your pup is being brought in to the right environment.
If you have children, you need to make sure that the puppy
is not endangered by their boisterous behaviour. He could
get easily hurt by an excitable toddler. And, as mentioned
before, other pets must be introduced in stages so that they
can get used to the puppy being there.
The Boston Terrier therefore makes an ideal pet for families,
as well as for singles and couples. He will love being in
the thick of things and will shower the whole family with
love and entertainment. All you need to worry about is preparing
the rest of the family for his arrival in order to alleviate
any dangers to the pup.
