Is Your Dog an Angel in Disguise?

Authors ask the public to submit stories of their dog's courage, heroism, and compassion.

July 9, 2004

Do you have a dog that performed some kind of miraculous deed, or rescued someone from tragedy, or displayed an amazing show of compassion? If so, authors Allen and Linda Anderson, authors of "God's Messengers: What Animals Teach Us About the Divine", would like to hear from you.

The person who submits the most amazing story will receive a prize of $250.00, while five additional runner-ups will receive $25.00 each. There is no entrance fee.

All stories must be true, based on real dogs, people, and events. The deadline to submit stories is November 1, 2004.

Allen and Linda Anderson also operate a website called, "Angel Animals Network", which seeks to increase public awareness that animals are more than just pets, but are thinking, feeling, and loving creatures that help people in amazing ways. Their website publishes stories about animals that performed some kind of courageous, heroic, or compassionate act.

Winning stories might also be considered for an upcoming book. For more details about this contest, visit: http://www.angelanimals.net/awards.html
