Halloween Dog Costume Contest
Halloween Dog Costume Contest
Chicago’s only luxury, upscale Doggie Daycare and Boarding
facility, are proud to sponsor the first ever Howlin’ Hounds
Halloween.
October 12, 2004
On
Saturday, October 30th, 2004, from Noon – 4:00 PM, Urban Outsitters,
an upscale doggie daycare facility will be hosting a Halloween
dog costume contest. Dog owners are welcome to haunt this
festival at the corner of Halsted, on Couch Place, one block
north of Randolph Street. Activities include Pet Costume Contests,
Pet adoptions, (organized by Chicago’s Animal Care and Control);
Tricks & Treats; Pet Related Merchants and Raffle Prizes Galore!
First prize winner will receive overnight accommodations at
the pet-friendly Allegro Hotel.
This is one of the best times of year whereas owners and
their pets can participate at the event in costume; potentially
win some great prizes; and together enjoy an afternoon outdoors
before the temperature drops.
The event supports Chicago’s Animal Care and Control’s animal
adoptions; promote awareness to recent canine distemper outbreaks;
and assemble pet-owners for a howlin’ good time. “With our
company’s steady good fortune; we want to give back to the
community, support a good cause, and express our appreciation
to clients” says Tommy Spinosa, owner of Urban Out Sitters.
“At Chicago's Department of Animal Care and Control on South
Western Avenue, canine distemper is considered to be very
serious” says Joseph Giannini, a pet expert with Urban Outsitters.
As of May, the amount of Canine Distemper cases are growing
to a frightening number. Chicago’s Animal Care and Controls
takes in many strays and unwanted animals who are most susceptible
to the disease. Their continuous efforts to find a safe and
secure home for their healthy animals is stunted because of
the distemper outbreak.
Since 1999, Urban Outsitters has been providing upscale pet
sitting and boarding services for the Chicago area. Visit
