Safety Paws for Nannies
Safety Paws for Nannies
A teleconference to be held this November invites nannies
to call in to learn about dog and child safety issues.
September 9, 2004
If you are a nannie in caring for children where a dog is
present, you might be interested in a nationwide teleconference
that discusses keeping chidren safe from dogs.
Can you easily identify the signs that a dog is happy or
stressed? Can you tell when a dog is trying to avoid confrontation?
Understanding a dog's body language is part of the agenda
that will be covered in this teleconference, and is something
that could help you protect a child from being bitten.
The teleconference will be conducted over the phone, and
is scheduled to take place November 10, 2004, from 8:00 pm
EST, and lasts one hour. The registration fee is $30.00. For
more information, or to register, visit: http://www.familypaws.com/nanny-teleclass/.
The teleconference will be conducted by Jennifer Shyrock,
a canine behavior consultant, and professional dog trainer,
based in North Carolina. She holds a duo Bachelor’s degree
in Special Education and Elementary Education from Kutztown
University.
Jennifer created Family Paws Canine Behavior Consulting Services
to educate the public about safe canine interaction. Jennifer
frequently travels to various locations throughout North Carolina
teaching kids about dog bite prevention.
