Nature's Paws Merges with Water Pond Farms
A mother and daughter merge their businesses to blend
the lucrative pet product industry with the booming home
improvement industry.
Summerville, SC (PRWEB) June 2, 2004--Nature's Paws, an online
store for natural pet products and a direct sales company
for pet lovers, merged this month with Water Pond Farm. Nature's
Paws blends the growing $30 billion pet product industry with
direct sales for work-from-home moms who love pets. Combine
this with the home improvement boom and you've got Nature's
Paws and Ponds.
Nature's Paws was conceived by Debbie Allen and founded in
December 2003. Water Pond Farms was founded in December of
2002 by Stephanie Pierce. Winter months seem to agree with
these two enterprising women who just happen to be daughter
and mother respectively.
"Between our love of animals, work in animal rescue and our
need for more natural products for our family we found a way
to merge the two and form a Mother/Daughter business that
the entire family can enjoy" said Debbie Allen. Both the women
enjoy each others businesses as much as their own and decided
since both businesses are based on their love of a more natural
way of life why not bring them together? Which is exactly
what they did - not in the winter this time but in the newness
of spring!
It all started with a shampoo bar for dogs. Between Debbie
Allen and her mother Stephanie Pierce, they have ten dogs
which happen to all be rescues as well. Some of the dogs were
having terrible skin problems and so Allen and Pierce set
out to find a shampoo that would help bring relief to the
dogs. Allen had been making goatsmilk soap for her family
to use and decided that the "four-legged" family members should
have the great soap too. After a little recipe testing, the
Arroo Shampoo bar was born. Yes, it all started with one little
shampoo bar.
"We soon started to add more natural health products and
also those pet products that we find are both innovative and
made with our pets health and safety in mind," commented Ms.
Allen.
Both Allen and Pierce have been in direct sales with a few
companies. They wanted to share this new business with others
and so they decided to open the business to others with their
direct sales opportunity. "We can share our products, love
of animals, and offer others an income opportunity," says
Ms. Allen.
One of the new business associates and publisher of "AspenbloomWellPet
News Channel", Kim Bloomer, says, "I publish a pet wellness
channel geared towards helping pet owners care for their pets
holistically. I wanted to also offer products that are in
keeping with a holistic, natural agenda. While doing a search
on the Internet I came across the Nature's Paws website. When
I saw what a great product line they have and business opportunity,
I jumped at the chance to become part of this wonderful company!
Debbie is so helpful and kind, she is the kind of person I
want to be in business with."
Allen and Pierce are great champions of the animals and animal
rescue. They donate 5% of all shampoo bar proceeds to pet
rescue and now they have decided to help their country and
the military personnel pets by donating 5% of all travel gear
product proceeds to the MilitaryPets Foster Project. The Military
Pets Foster Project is a division of NetPets.org which cares
for the pets of our military personnel when they are deployed
and mobilized.
U.S. consumers spend an estimated $31 billion annually on
products and services for their pets according to the 2003/2004
National Pet Owners Survey.
