Tired of leaving your chihuahua or miniature pinscher home
because the theater won't let you bring him in? Or maybe you
had to leave your precious "Fifi" home because your
favorite french bistro doesn't allow pooches.
 Don't
worry, because "help is on the way!"
Creature Couture, an upstart pet accessories company, is
releasing a line of pet carriers that look like fashionably
chic handbags. Now, you can sneak your little canine sweetie
into any place you want without looking out of style.
The creators of Creature Couture, Jeanette Jones and Michelle
Jackson, claim to have over 30 years of experience working
in the fashion industry, with Jones as a model, and Jackson
as a make-up artist. The idea came when Jones, then living
in Asia, was trying to find a stylish doggie carrier, bed,
and collar for her 3 year old chihuahua "Spookie".
She wanted accessories that were fashionable and functional,
but when she had difficulty finding them, she decided to produce
her own designs. With the help of Jackson's marketing knowledge,
the two started the business.
The new pet carriers will be available August 2004 exclusively
at upscale boutiques and better department stores.
